I am not sure about the model Shot on Canon Log Clog NOT Clog 3 Instagram: / barparildar #relax #sleep #study First of all, I hope you and your family are safe and healthy in these crazy times. This trip was special for me in so many aspects. Most importantly, this was the first time I took a week off from work in 4 years. Yes, you read that right. First one week off in 4 years... Don't get me wrong. I love my job and I love working on things that make impact. But I also needed this time to reset my mind and take a step back from reality and enjoy the great outdoors. I specifically wanted to be alone during this time since I had no idea how crazy I could end up spending that precious 1 week. I have been wanting to go back to these places for a long time. I think about Utah a lot. It usually hits me pretty hard when I remember it is far from where I live. If I had the chance I could spend years exploring every corner of Utah and Arizona. I got the same feeling as I was meeting an old friend. I said hi to Arches, Canyon Lands, Death Valley, Monument Valley and so many other spots. I also added some new parks that I haven't seen before into my library. It was my first time in Capitol Reef. I didn't want to film anything. I was just amazed. Definitely will go back sometime. I knew it would be impossible to do everything I planned or wanted to do. Especially with that much driving I usually ended up tired, looking at a great view passing out in my car or in my tent. As much as I love driving, roughly 2500 miles in a week was a little too much. I could only do short hikes. Nothing too crazy. An overnight backpacking was on my list but had no time or energy to do it. Overall, I came back happy. I am old enough to know these moments are extremely special and no road trip is perfect. I have experienced rain, sand storm, hail, snow, ice and super hot dry weather conditions in such a short time. That was actually the best part of the trip. Getting cold in my tent or getting all drenched up while hiking. I miss these feelings on a daily basis. I love being outside. I think I didn't even shot a single video or photo at some of the best spots on the trip. Youtube videos /instagram photos are not the most important aspects of a trip for me. I enjoy making videos but sometimes I am so much in love with nature that I just leave my camera in my bag and enjoy myself doing nothing other than staring and listening. I didn't even bring my headphones with me. I wanted to feel the wind at night, wanted to wake up with the dawn chorus. Got in a lot of different moods as I expected. I guess this was my meditation. Got emotional frequently. I know I will get a lot questions about my gear. Again, I chose a minimalist setup. 1 camera and 1 lens. I also had my drone but I only used it once since drones are BANNED in all National Parks. The only time I used it was in public lands. I respect Drone Laws in place and have no intention to ruin someones Natural Park experience with my annoying drone sound. I wish everyone could do the same. I used Canon R6 and Canon 15-35mm f2.8. Simple but powerful setup. I don't know why but I think I enjoy Canon colors in desert more than any brand. It is a personal choice. I am sure I could make a very similar video with any other brand though. NO filters used. I technically could, but I forgot my VND at home. I survived. Not a big deal for me. Rule number one in desert: Never change lenses. Whatever you do, dust will somehow find a way onto your camera sensor. It is super annoying to see the dust spots when you check the photos after the trip. I simply didn't even bring a second lens. Simplicity. That's all I focus lately. I don't like to carry a bunch of gear with me. You might have seen from my other videos. I usually tell people not to buy stuff rather than buying. Experiences are important. It is up to you how to document that. Whatever gear you choose, it should make you feel good and want to create. If I will have back pain because of a 70-200mm 2.8 I carried 6 hours in my backpack, I simply don't bring it to my next trip. A long shot is not as important as my health. Of course I am talking about my personal videos, photos etc. If you are filming professional work and you need a specific angle/focal length you gotta use what you gotta use. These videos are my visual journal. Since beginning, my goal has never changed. I want to document beautiful moments in a beautiful way. Nothing too much. Keeping things as real as possible. Really shocked to see so many people are watching, commenting, reacting. Thank you for being a part of this journey. Hope to see you on the next one. #canon #r6 #r5 #zionnationalpark #moab #roadtrip #hiking Baris
