Nekyia Circuits are a new modular maker who’ve started out with 4 very useful modules; Obsidian is a dual complex LFO, Opal is a two channel mixer/attenuverter, Sosumi is a dual Low Pass Gate and Root Locus is a fun multi-mode filter. In this video I show how to use them to make great techno patches using the Bastl Pizza oscillator. For more on the modules, including where to buy them, see https://nekyiacircuits.com If you'd like to buy Eurorack modules consider using these affiliate links to help support the channel: (EU) Eurorack from Thomann: https://bit.ly/synthdadthomann (US) Eurorack from Perfect Circuit: https://bit.ly/synthdadpc Obsidian has two triangle core LFOs but also has a min/max/diff/sum maths section that lets you generate complex modulation shapes. It also can be clocked sync’d (sort of) using a reset input, and you have CV control over the wave shapes. Opal is a neat dual mixer or attenuverter that can mix audio or CV, and offset and attenuate it too. Very handy to combine with any LFO. Sosumi is a dual Low Pass gate which gives a lovely plucky sound when struck, and also has CV control over the length of the gate delay. Finally Root Locus is a two input multi-mode filter that allows for CV control over the input selection, CV control over the filter mode, and can go into sub-audio range so you can filter LFOs or turn it into a quadrature LFO.
