I’d been thinking of what a generous mentor of young musicians he was, how many performers owe him their international carreers - and realized that nothing had been organized, to honour the man who contributed so much to the revival of 18th century music. So I decided to invite some of the singers and musicians who had worked with Alan for years, and who I know all remember him fondly and gratefully, for a common performance in his memory.
