Here is a behind-the-scenes video documenting the making up and test-run of a brand new 70mm print of Paul Thomas Anderson's new VistaVision-shot action-comedy, One Battle After Another, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Benicio Del Toro, Sean Penn, Wood Harris, Regina Hall, and Alana Haim. The print was struck photochemically and audio is played via DTS timecode. The total feature was 3 reels (the reels were designed and made by Brad Miller at Film-Tech). The feature is presented in a pillarboxed 1.85:1 aspect ratio. The film is also being presented in 15-perf IMAX 70mm film at select IMAX theatres. There are also 4 theatres around the world presenting the film in its original 8-perf VistaVision format struck from the original camera negative. The VistaVision 8-perf prints are presented in 1.5 aspect ratio and have implemented a newly-designed and positioned DTS timecode track for use with specially-designed readers.
