AMIT TV (0169) This DVD is of the Last concert ever performed by the band Dire Straits. It was the 211th scheduled concert of the huge 'On Every Street' World tour which had commenced 14 months earlier on Friday, 23 August 1991 at the Point Depot The, Point Depot Dublin, Ireland. The tour was the British rock bands' swansong tour, and played in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and North America. The tour reportedly sold 7.1 million tickets. Audio & video on this one are not the best and several songs have small sections missing. Otherwise the whole final concert was captured for posterity. The taper was towards the right hand rear of the stadium, but with close-ups as well as the wide angle shots. Does anyone know what was on the sandwich board the guy walk on with at the end of Solid rock? Be nice to know! The tour line-up was Mark Knopfler (guitar, vocals), John Illsley (bass), Guy Fletcher (keyboards), Alan Clark (keyboards), Chris White (saxophone), Paul Franklin (pedal steel guitar), Danny Cummings (percussion), Phil Palmer (guitar), and Chris Whitten (drums).
