This current model (2022) radio came in with no transmitted audio either on AM or FM or even in PA model. With reference to the service manual & under the micoscope a 3mm lenth of copper burr was discovered to be across two SMT transistors. After removing the burr & performing a master reset of the software, normal operation was then possible. After this, the radio was tuned up on the Maconi test set & produced 3.8W & full FM deviation of 2.2Khz average & peaking at 2.5Khz. The receiver has no adjustments & was/is doing 0.55uV for 12dB SINAD. It's a shame this set wasn't returned under warrenty as it was a manufacturing defect.
