Note: The sound was boosted by 12 dB Last drive of the lot. A 20GB Seagate ATA IV, but working this time! When I got this drive, it was reporting a capacity of 15GB, but the model number on the drive corresponded to a 20GB drive (And seagate did not make a 15GB ATA IV). It was not limited by HPA though... Thanks to a comment from @aprilkolwey4779 on the WDC2340 video, I found out that drives could also be cut by something called DCO, which was the case here, and I was able to return it to full capacity! This drive has no bad or reallocated sectors. It is quite silent as you'd expect and looks like a modern drive. It's at that point in time in the early to mid 2000s that all hard drives started to look very similar to each other. Interested by hard drives? Join my discord server! :) / discord
