A few days ago the prime minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi asked the citizens of India to come out of their balconies / terraces / windows on this day - the day of #JantaCurfew - and cheer for the people who are helping India fight the current situation by clapping or playing utensils or ringing bells - taali, thaali aur ghanti. These people include - doctors, nurses, healthcare workers, sanitation workers, the emergency services, police, security, media, biologists and all other stake-holders who are helping India tirelessly. The way people responded to this call of the prime minister was amazing. People took this opportunity to say thank you and offer gratitude to all the people - doctors, nurses, healthcare workers, sanitation workers, the emergency services, police, security, media, biologists and all other stake-holders. People across India came out on their balconies or terraces or windows and cheered by clapping or banging plates or by ringing bells or by playing conch shells or by some other means. A big shout out to all the doctors, nurses, healthcare workers, sanitation workers, the emergency services, police, security, media, biologists and all other stake-holders for helping India fight the current situation. Across India the picture was same. Towards the end of the video which happens to be my favourite section in the entire video I have stitched together more than 35 videos that I have crowd sourced from my friends living in different parts of India. These videos show how entire India united once again through the thanks giving ceremony. But right now you should be in self-isolation and that's how you can help your country. I am really amused to see the kind of response people of India gave to the prime minister's call. Almost everyone across India came out on their balconies to cheer, clap, thank the stake holders involved in fighting the current situation and created music by playing utensils or thaalis / conch shells or shankh / ringing bells or ghanti. It was really an experience to see such a performance being performed by so many million people at the same time all over India. It was indeed spectacular and grand in scale. What India witnessed today at 5 PM is what I call a pan-India live concert. Almost everyone across India came out on their balconies to cheer, clap, thank the stake holders involved in fighting the current situation and created music by playing utensils or thaalis / conch shells or shankh / ringing bells or ghanti. This is just like a concert where so many people are doing a performance on such a big scale together. India created history today by it's pan-India live concert.
