The rice stitch is a very easy filler embroidery stitch. You can adjust the density and size of stitches to meet your needs. Thus, you can make it fill your shapes very well with thick or long stitches or make it an airy layer of spilled stitches in fine thread and short stitches. The rice stitch might look too simple at first sight, but it can be used in multiple ways to fill out any shape you want.
