This video, I wanted to talk about the Louvre Museum in Paris, France and spesifically how, why and when artworks from it are taken down. There's of course political pressure to return art to countries from which they were stolen, but also much more interesting events concerning paintings being removed. Such as heists, like the one done for Picasso. There are also special cases where even you, watching this video, have a chance to take a painting/sculpture from the Louvre. Personally I loved talking about the haunted art/phantoms of the museum and I was shocked to see just how engrained Napoleon was to this museum's history. I actually, no joke, go to the Louvre Museum once every two months or so (plane flight and all). I feel like it is a magical place that compels me to start drawing and painting the second I enter. I hope this weird semi-art history video compels you to visit it too. The next video will be about how God's have been depicted throughout art history.
