September 26, 2020—The internal network of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), the Iranian Resistance Units, continued to expand their activities checkered across the country. Resistance Units members held up signs and took to graffiti with anti-regime slogans and messages of Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi and President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) Maryam Rajavi. The Resistance Units commemorated MEK’s large protest on September 27, 1981 in Tehran where young students chanted ‘down with Khomeini’ for the first time. This was a historic protest where Khomeini’s authority was challenged for the first time.
