The Granite Flume Trail is a scenic hike located in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest near Salt Lake City, Utah. This trail is a 1.3-mile out-and-back route that is generally considered easy and takes an average of 38 minutes to complete. This trail is popular for birding, hiking, and running, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of the day. The best times to visit this trail are from May through October. Please note, dogs are not allowed on this trail. Also, users have reported that parking is limited so you may want to arrive early and also consider carpooling. Please be prepared for a remote trailhead, and also be aware that there are no bathrooms. This short and sweet trail has nice fall colors and views, but there are some steep areas with loose rock so you may want sturdy shoes.
