I compared the new Apple Studio Display XDR 5k directly next to the Pro Display XDR 6k showing the side by side differences of the display panels next to each other in full HDR quality You can see the new Studio Display XDR shine as it puts its 2000+ dimming zones to use making excellent work of controlling contrast and reducing the glow/blooming effect that can be seen on the Pro Display XDR, which has less than 500 diming zones. I find that both Apple displays look gorgeous, and keep in mind that the larger 32 inch Pro Display XDR has the nano-texture, while the Studio Display XDR has the normal, glossy panel. I hope this side by side comparison of both XDR monitors from Apple help you make a decision on which monitor you choose. While Apple no longer offers the 32" Pro Display model, you can find excellent deals on the second hand market. The larger display really is an absolute joy to us, while the extra punchy contrast of the new Studio Display XDR makes for a fantastic 27 inch user experience. I don't think you can go wrong with either of these models.
