Resident Evil Requiem is here, and so how well does it run on an RTX 3080, with an Intel I9-10900K? I'll benchmark RE9 at both 1440P and 4k, testing both DLSS and FSR, ray tracing and path tracing and of course, different quality settings. Kicking of the Resident Evil Requiem PC Performance testing at 1440P, even with the highest texture and quality settings and ray tracing high isn't any problems for the RTX 3080p, with benchmarks showing well north of 70FPS in taxing areas, and the hotel / indoor areas push this up higher still to over 100FPS. Enabling Path Tracing on an RTX 3080 is possible, but frame rates will be about 30FPS in very taxing areas, which is still very impressive performance for the Card. FSR on performance makes the game quite playable in the hotel / more comfined environments, pushing frame rates over 60FPS with path tracing enabled on the rtx 3080. 4k is also fine, but DLSS or FSR is required with ray tracing, and occasional hitching due to VRAM will be felt. Options include reducing shadow quality, adjusting texture quality or ray tracing quality. Ultimately, the game runs extremely well on the system, and owners of an RTX 3080 class hardware are easily well served. RE9 is a great example of a PC release becasue you can fine tune it to run very well on a lower end system, but for those with very powerful PCs, you can literally just crank the quality into the stratosphere.
