Sarouc -- the Arabian -- accompanies me since 8 years. He is very experienced also because of many shows we have done together. Cabanero, an Andalusian/PRE, accompanies me since 2 years. He has already done some shows and is now 5 years old. Luminoso , also an Andalusian, is the "small" with 2 ½ years. When he came with 8 month he has had immense problems for a long time with contacting people. He now slowly is asking to play and is happy to participate. The base of my work is the fine communication with the horses -- the "invisible" signs. Therefore the title of my workshop is "When horses whisper". Because it is much more us who have to read the fine signs of the horses to support their offers then only wait for them to understand us and our signs. Like this we can keep and improve their motivation. On this base of communication we can teach horses even the most difficult lections. For me working on the collection with fine cues is one of the basic elements. For communicating we don't need more than a halter. With this we can even teach classical dressage and other difficult lections - on the ground and on the horse. With this kind of work we have the possibility, while playing and having fun, to improve the posture and therefore the health of the horses. One of the goals of my workshop is never to loose the level of fun and play, because playing has a big importance in the daily life of horses. They shouldn't just mechanically do what we have taught but always be allowed to show their own fun with playing the games. During my work I often give me and the horses a long rest, because horses learn while resting. It gives them time to "write down" while they are spending comfortable time with us. While teaching and giving the horse new experiences I should always be its "best friend". I have to respect its individual limits and the smallest try it gives to me. It is a big difference if I want the horse to do something for me or if we do it together. The horse as a personality we should never leave out of sight.
