Spanish markets: 1 - Mercado de Triana This market is located in the Plaza del Altozano, next to the Triana Bridge. This food market is almost two hundred year old, though the original building was built during the 12th century. It's a great local market with a mix of fresh food stalls and bars where you can have lunch or dinner. For almost forty years the market was relocated, until 2004 an international competition for ideas to reshape the market was known today as Mercado de la Encarnación which is under Las setas. It is one of the most modern food markets in the world. This is the main market in Seville and you have to arrive in the morning to find the best products, or eat if you want to. 3 - Mercado de abastos / Mercado Central of Cádiz The quality of the meat, fruits, vegetables, especially the fish and seafood that are sold here are so great. In addition to the market, it has the so-called Gastronomic Corner with different stalls where you can taste the best of the typical Cádiz gastronomy.
