Day 1 of our New Zealand South Island road trip takes us on a massive 350km drive from Christchurch to Mount Cook in our Maui Cascade campervan 🚐. We had planned to stay overnight at Lake Tekapo, but because we forgot to apply for our ETA on time 😅, we had to skip it and push straight through. We still passed the lake (and the views were stunning!) but didn’t get to overnight there as intended.
