In the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga, we finally got a look at Sarada’s Mangekyo Sharingan ability—Ohirume. At first, like many fans, I thought it was some kind of black hole. But after rereading the recent chapters, I realized something deeper. The design of Sarada’s eye and the gravitational force of her new technique point not to a black hole, but to a star. And the name Ohirume itself references the Sun Goddess Amaterasu. This could mean that Sarada’s new power isn’t just a gravity-based technique—it might be a Black Sun, an evolution of the original Amaterasu used by Sasuke and Itachi. While the Uchiha brothers could summon black flames, Sarada has seemingly created a sun—with its own gravitational pull. It’s possible that we’ll learn more about this power in future chapters, but even now, the symbolism and scale of it are absolutely massive. And of course, the battle animation at the start of the video—where Sarada defeats Ryu and awakens her new power—I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did creating it.
