I was borrowing a set of Prescott Renaissance recorders for a project, and realized that meant that I had two contrabasses and three great basses in the house all at once! So of course, I had to do something with all of them together. In case you're interested, the project I borrowed them for was recording a sample library of allll the sizes of recorders. More information here: https://vis.versilstudios.com/the-rec... This piece isn't actually written for three tenors and two basses; the cantus line sits pretty high for a great bass, and the tenor line is pretty high for a contrabass. But fortunately, the Baroque versions of these sizes can reach those notes so it all worked out. Maybe I'll also record something that's actually more suited to these ranges before I have to give the Prescotts back. But at least I did this little quickie. The instruments are: Baroque great bass by Yamaha Renaissance great bass by Prescott Renaissance great bass by LiVirghi Baroque contrabass by von Huene Renaissance contrabass by Prescott The piece is pavan 39 from "Pavans, Galliards, Almains and other Short Aeirs" by Anthony Holborne, published in 1599 and available on IMSLP.
