Ndi Igbo have claimed to be descendants of two lost Hebrew tribes. A number have converted to Judaism within the last twenty years, opened synagogues, and have been recognized by some Rabbis from the USA, although Orthodox Jews usually deny them this ancestry. One area that should be of great interest is the adequation of Igbo traditional religion and laws written in the Torah, particularly Deuteronomy and Leviticus.
