The pressure between the expanding product and the surrounding concrete structure prevents the penetration of water through the joint and provides a durable waterproofing solution. Product Description SealBoss ® SwellCaulkTM is a single component, hydrophilic, gungrade waterstop. The product is formulated for sealing construction joints, pipe penetrations and other concrete joints of smooth and uneven surfaces. Material cures and swells in the presence of moisture or water thereby creating a compression seal. Curing time decreases with higher temperatures and greater relative humidity. SealBoss ® SwellCaulkTM will cure in approximately 24 to 36 hours depending on ambient climate. The prodcuct is supplied in sausages or in cartridges. The product is for professional use. SealBoss ® SwellCaulkTM can be used as an adhesive for SealBoss SwellTapeTM, joint waterstop system, see corresponding data sheet. Installation Guidelines SealBoss ® SwellCaulkTM should be applied to a dust-free concrete surface which can be uneven, rough, smooth, moist or dry. Sheet Pile Applications SealBoss ® SwellCaulk is designed to seal sheet pile knuckles by application of SealBoss ® SwellCaulk in an uninterrupted band, gunned in the female sheet pile interlock before driving the sheet piles. The caulked sheet pile interlocks need to be protected from rain and water to avoid premature swelling. SealBoss ® SwellCaulk must be fully confined on all sides to perform properly. Packaging 20 oz / 600 ml Sausages: Place the product firmly in the bulk sausage caulking gun and cut 1/8 inch off the top of the sausage removing the crimp bead. Close the tube and install the nozzle. Nozzles are supplied with the appropriate opening. 10.5 oz / 310 ml Cartridges: Place the product firmly in standard caulking cartridge gun. Puncture seal and attach nozzle.
