First student pilot solo!! Oahu, Hawaii

A day I will never forget, my very first student pilot solo, January 4, 2025! I train at Pacific Flight Academy out of PHNL bravo airspace, where we're not allowed to do pattern work, so I flew with my instructor to our neighbor airport, PHJR (Kalaeloa), class delta airspace for my solo. Such a crazy feeling when my instructor hopped out and sent me off on my own. I was nervous, but felt confident and knew I was ready! The flight wasn't perfect (I had never done full stop landings at this airport, or taxied on the ground, and I didn't have a sentry to see exactly where I was :p) and taxiing on the ground turned out to be the most challenging part. But I was really proud of my pattern, dialing in my airspeeds on each leg, and my landings were great, especially the first one; I buttered it! :D I had some nerves on the first round in the pattern, but after that first landing, the nerves faded away... This solo was such a confidence booster - like everyone said it would be!! Before my solo I was SO focused on how many hours I had, comparing myself to others, worried about when it would finally happen... but after the fact, I can confidently say that NONE OF THAT MATTERED. No one cares how many hours you're at, and you'll solo when you're ready. This was the day I finally felt like a real pilot! One of the happiest days of my life!
