Heavy aircraft at Manchester Airport 29/04/14

Unbelievably, it's been well over a year since I last filmed an aircraft, and the last time wasn't even here in the UK, but was in fact back when I was in Istanbul on holiday. So since the weather was looking nice I decided to pop over to the Aviation Viewing Park at Manchester Airport to see what was flying, and what resulted was quite a busy selection to say the least: Touching down with the mid-morning arrival from Dubai is Emirates Airbus A380-800 A6-EDG. Heading for the active with the delayed 11:00 from Manchester to Orlando (eventually departed at 12:20) is Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-400 G-VGAL 'Jersey Girl'. Climbing away with the midday flight to Jeddah is Saudi Arabian Airlines Boeing 777-200 HZ-AKH. Lifting off bound for New York JFK is Pakistan International Airlines Boeing 777-200 AP-BGZ. A passing of mortal enemies, the Boeing 747-400 and the Airbus A380-800, both seen preparing for departure at Manchester. Departing simultaneously, Emirates Airbus A380-800 A6-EDG leaves the stand bound for Dubai, whilst Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-400 G-VROS 'English Rose' taxi's to the active with the afternoon departure to Orlando. However, the 747's flight was short lived as apparently some of the cargo in the hold had shifted, meaning the aircraft had to return to the gate to rectify the problem, allowing Emirates Airbus A380-800 A6-EDG to depart for Dubai first.
