This is the instrumental audio of the Mariachi sections of the River of Time attraction, in the Mexico Pavilion area of World Showcase at Epcot in Walt Disney World. As you will notice after listening, each part varies slightly in its instrumentation, but overall it is similar and consistent. I obtained it after reducing background noise from old vinyl or tapes of the original audio file and then separating vocals and instrumentals. It has become very clear. This audio played along with the choir as you went through the middle of the attraction and through the final sections before getting off the boat. This attraction opened on October 1, 1982, to take you on a journey through different eras, moments, and places in Mexico in chronological order, to showcase and educate about the country when that was more of a focus. At Epcot, you could marvel at everything the ride had to offer. The River of Time was an attraction that took you on a journey through Mexican culture, showcasing everything from the country's prehistory and various other representative moments and places to the modern era. Unfortunately, this beloved attraction closed on January 2, 2007, to make way for "Gran Fiesta Tour: Starring The 3 Caballeros," which has been operating at Epcoto since its opening on April 6, 2007. Fortunately, all is not lost, as the main structures and characters remain. The original boats from that time were possibly reused, with the characters integrated throughout. The new version is quite good, and since there are no significant changes beyond the lighting, music, characters, and logos, it seems more like an indefinite overlay than a retheming. But I admit that Disney will keep it this way as long as the attraction is profitable or there isn't something that justifies its return. Or perhaps they'll add something from Coco there too, but for a pavilion, I prefer the original attraction. Enjoy listening to this relaxing Mexican music while you remember the attraction and Mexico. Audio obtained and isolated from this YouTube video: • El Rio Del Tiempo | Full Ride Audio (Maste...
