April 17, 2013: We see a northbound GO Transit train about to stop at the new temporarily platform to the point only the last 3 cars service the platform. This caught me off guard as I was expecting it to stop at the end of the platform, not the other side of the walkway bridge. EMD F59PH III 560 was on point and thought an MPI MP40PH-3C was at the other end that normal service this run, but was wrong when it past me after departing the station. EMD F59PH III 561 was pushing and a rare site to see 2 EMD F59PH III's on a train, especially this time of the year with no snow to stop the train. We see the train do a swing where the new underpass is being built to go under the CP West Toronto Diamond. The Fly Underpass will be built for 2 2 tracks sections so the new Union-Pearson Line can use these tracks starting late 2014 if the schedule doesn't keep falling behind. The project is 2 months behind schedule with some part being 9 months late due to unforeseen issues. All the trees and shrubs in the ROW have been cut down from the last time I saw the corridor. Mertrolinx is planning on removing all trees and shrubs on all of its corridors and replace them on a 3:1 for any trees over 12 inches in diaminator. They will work with the city and communities as to where these new trees are to go and hope some of them will be off site. The Bloor Station is being rebuilt 100% and should be completed early 2014 for 4 tracks and 2 new platforms and a waiting room.
