Reposting another old dance video shot in 2019, cuz i was feeling a little nostalgic. When we celebrate Republic day, we celebrate the pages that promised us equality, justice and dignity to every individual in the country without any exceptions. But today those pages just feel like they are just on display putting us in an illusion that we abide by everything in them. ‘THE CONSTITUTION WAS MEANT TO BE OUR COMPASS TO A BETTER WORLD, NOT JUST A DECORATIVE FRAME ON THE WALL’. I just cant stop thinking about what was the use of freedom fighters, the sacrifices they made and the dreams they had for the country, who fought to give us the country that we hold in our hands. Yet most of are just merely surviving in it and not truly living. In this country the laws bend, rights pause and power often speaks louder than principles. The Constitution feels like a rulebook that we applaud publicly and ignore privately. Change wont come from slogans nor with a loud day of acquired patriotism but rather begins with questioning without fear, voting with conscience, and not normalising injustice. Revolutions doesnt always have to be loud sometimes it can start quietly with taking responsibility. HAPPY? REPUBLIC DAY.
