DREAM COME TRUE I finally made it to the Valley of the Kings and Queens — often called the Valley of the Dead — and honestly, this was something I had dreamed about my entire life. Standing in the place where the ancient Egyptian pharaohs were laid to rest felt deeply personal and almost spiritual for me. There are several tombs you can explore, and each one feels like stepping straight into history. Our group was able to visit the tombs of Ramses II, Ramses III, Queen Titi — the only female tomb currently open — and even Tutankhamun’s tomb (which required an extra ticket, but totally worth it). I’m also so thankful we went in December because the weather was absolutely perfect. I can only imagine how intense the desert heat must be in the summer — what feels like a dream trip could quickly turn overwhelming in those temperatures. This was more than just sightseeing. It was one of those rare, unforgettable moments where history, wonder, and personal meaning all come together.
