Dr Arno Hazekamp, Bedrocan - Developments in medical cannabis research. Advancements in the Age of Cannabis The biggest global medical cannabis conference of the year, in Dublin, on the 14th September 2016. Some of the leaders and major stakeholders in the area of medical cannabis to discuss the innovations and developments that are changing the trajectory of this global debate. The summit is brought to you in association with Leafly and Tilray, two of the biggest names in the medical cannabis industry. Chief Scientist at Bedrocan Dr. Arno Hazekamp, studied at Leiden University, the Netherlands, where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in the field of Molecular Biology, followed by an MSc in Biopharmaceutical Sciences. After finishing his research on traditional Thai medicine, he graduated with honours in 2000. Arno was actively involved in setting up the medicinal cannabis programme of the Dutch Health Ministry, and became a strong advocate of a more science-based approach to the medicinal use of cannabis in the Netherlands and abroad. Arno runs a 5-day Masterclass in the Netherlands where he teaches on various aspects of the cannabis plant and extractions.
