The all-new ULTRA Merino 120 LT answers KUIU’s never-ending challenge of reducing weight, while improving durability. KUIU partnered with Nuyarn® to engineer a fabric that was lighter than the 125 g/m2 predecessor, yet stronger. Without sacrificing natural softness, comfort, and performance, the new 120 g/m2 fabric uses a thicker nylon yarn core, creating higher dimensional stability, improved regain, and added durability. The result is the lightest and toughest in the industry—the ULTRA Merino 120 LT. Merino wool as a natural fiber excels at thermoregulation and odor resistance, these are key performance factors for long-duration hunts. At KUIU, we source the finest quality Merino wool from New Zealand, targeting a 17.5-micron fiber diameter for itch free comfort. We do not use chemical softeners that wash off over time. The Nuyarn technology is not a synthetic blend, the wool fibers surround a core of high-strength nylon. You get the benefits of 100% Merino next to skin, but with a highly durable synthetic at the core of the yarn.  Combining the low reflectivity of Merino with a camouflage print can really help you go undetected at close contact range.
