An Avionics Technician's Guide The Origin 300i The 300i is yet another option for a new player in the verse. However the ship sacrifices a small potion of firepower for agility, and has the luxurious feel to it, especially after the rework that got implemented. The ship also now offers 8 SCU of cargo and combat related gameplay all while looking freaking sexy Let's get a closer look and discuss the ship as we start our preflight walk around I'll see you on the ground Preflight Starting off our walkaround Too the front of the ship we have our main weapon. The 300i can hold a gimbaled size 2 gun or a fixed size 3 gun. Just under the nose we also have the nose landing gear, it has a shock struts and a set of wheels Going under the belly we have the cargo bay that retracts to the ground Next we have the main landing gear, that have a reinforced base, struts, i like the detail that was added inside the doors, the gear retracts into the ship helping reduce drag in atmospheric conditions To the mid section on either side is a fixed size 3 gun The 300i also comes with 2 missiles for ranged attacks. I do not like The placement of both hardpoints because it can result in a loss of a weapon system if the large unique wing structure is compromised. At the top of the ship is the engine intake, and two vortex generators, they are most often used to delay flow separation moving down the spine of the ship we have the unique wing, that is the horizontal and vertical stabilizers all in one. In well placed shot and you may have some issue in atmosphere And To the back we have the engine of course Now With our walkaround complete let's take a look at the inside of the ship Once you walk in you are confronted with a large open bay and a hint of pinewood fragrance. To the back is the living quarters which includes a sink, a mini fridge, a champagne rack, a small closet and the bed with a tv mounted at your feet. The 300i also have a head to, so no need to use those nasty truck stop bathrooms. The next room forward is the flightdeck. Lets take a look. Once at the controls At the left you have the unlock /lock open/ close extriorier switch, your ejection switch at your crauch , and to the right is the spool quantum drive and engines switch plus the cycle power and go flight ready, the 300i comes with 4 MFDs, 2 on either side of the yoke you also have a radar screen in the middle Now With our flightdeck analysis complete Let’s take her for a spin I'll See you in the air Flight performance overall is satisfactory, I have no complaints about the ship in this area In space it takes about 16.04 sec to hit max speed without afterburners and about 12.04 sec with afterburners but the afterburner is not constant because you overheat, so you are only using short bursts Now Looking at the components that make up the ship the 300i comes with a class C civilian Quantum drive, this is ok Two hydrocell grade D industrial class coolers, id swap them out with 2 grade B military class Polars A grade D industrial class power plant, I would leave this alone, unless you want to go with PVP then Id find a competition or military grade B power plant And the 300i comes with 2 bulward grade C industrial class shield generators. I would swap them out with two Forcewell grade B military class shield generators. To learn more about ship components check out my video on ship components themselves As for my own thoughts on the ship with the analysis we went through this is a great cargo and mission runner and if you want a taste of pvp then this is also a good ship too. And later down the road you can up your game to the 325a if you enjoy pvp over mission running. Supposedly, in the future the 300 series will be able to regenerate fuel once the fuel changes are in place. We shall see if this will stick For the new players Id change out the wing hardpoints first. Being a new player the ballistic guns that are stock to the ship may not be the best option due to the finite amount of ammunition, during a mission you can exhaust your ammo and be left only with the nose gun cutting about 2/3rds your total dps . So i recommend to go with laser repeaters till you get a feel for staying on target first, then after you are confident then choose any weapon as you please! But its your journey overall, so use the ship a as you please #seerthe6th #origin300i #anavionicstechniciansguide
