Trazado de un alicatado del Museo de la Alhambra (R6271), por Manuel Martínez Vela. Procede del desaparecido Palacio de Dar al-Arusa (s. XIV-XV), situado en el Cerro del Sol, sobre el Generalife. Está formado por ruedas de 10, un motivo no demasiado frecuente en la Alhambra del que podemos encontrar no obstante algunos ejemplos más en yeserías del palacio del Generalife, o en la techumbre de madera (alfarje) que cubre el llamado Vestíbulo del Alcázar, una sala a la que se accede por la puerta de las Conchas, junto a la entrada del Mexuar. Fuera de la Alhambra podemos contemplar una variante de este diseño en un alicatado del Cuarto Real de Santo Domingo. It is formed by ten-fold wheels, a motif not too frequent in the Alhambra of which we can find some more examples in plasterwork of the Generalife palace, or in the wooden roof that covers the so-called ‘Vestíbulo del Alcázar’, a room that we access through the door of the ‘Conchas’ (seashells), next to the entrance of the Mexuar.
