First demo by Scottish Grunge/Metal band Trench, from 1998. Tracklist: ------------------------ 00:00 - Fade Away 05:07 - Lay Low 09:11 - Air 13:39 - Piper Band Bio: ------------------------ Trench were formed in 1997 by Marcos Rae (Vocals), Kev Conway (Guitar), Mike McDaid (Bass), and Dave Laird (Drums). Rae left the band before any material was recorded, so Conway took over vocal duties and recruited Greig Sills on second guitar before cutting this debut demo. Conway later left the band, with Sills stepping up as vocalist for the remainder of the band's time. Recording Info: ------------------------ I'm unsure of exactly where the demo was produced, but from memory I think it was recorded and mixed by Bones at The Washoose in rural Lanarkshire. The demo was very kindly ripped for me by a friend off of an old tape, but unfortunately the tracks were saved in MP3 format, and some sort of on-board compressor was active on the tape deck which caused a lot of volume pumping. I tried to level it out by applying some compression/limiting of my own, plus some soft EQ to tame the woofy and harsh frequencies. All music is Copyright © 1998 Trench
