The very first Guilty Gear game came out for the PSOne sometime in 1998/99. It was surprisingly popular, even though these days its sub par (How else would all the other games come out?). Teh graphics are archaic compared to the sprites that games as late as Accent Core Plus have, but they have a nice amount of charm. Plus, this was the old days before Arc System Works tried turning Guilty Gear XX into the next generation Street Fighter 2. And some of the music themes kicked ARSE, moreso than teh newer ones In Slave's Glory pwns Burly Heart Unidentified Child pwns Blue Water A Fixed Idea pwns That new theme Testament has the Instant Kills started off here too. They're a shitload of different to teh current ones, and some fo them are hugely more violent and brutal, whereas GGX and XX's ones became more cartoony and somewhat silly. Plus this was the only game where Kliff was available from the off and where Justice had significance before we got lumped with her hawt but useless daughter. And Zato was called Zato, then. Anyway, these are all the instant kills, and they function a little different. It involves pressing QCF and both Punch and Kick and if it connects you gotta mash QCF until the IK is performed. Here's all of them Sol: All Guns Blazing. Nowadays its Order-Sol's IK, but back then, normal Sol had it and it looked cool. Not to say Napalm Death looked crap, that was epic too. Axl: Have A Nice Day: He wraps you up in chains. I guess they cut you up or suffocate you. What a way to go. Millia: Lust Killer: Hugely diferent form Iron Maiden, Millai straddles you adn stabs you. Froma technical standpoint, its a quicker and efficient way of killing someone. Dr Baldhead: Diagnosis Murder: He punches you into the air and makes you fall on his XBOX HUEG scalpel. Then some Japanese grave marker thing falls on you. Zato: BEHOLD MY MIGHTY HAND: A giant Eddie hand squishes you. In comparison it makes more sense than Black In Mind Ky: Zwei Voltage: Now THIS. IS. EPIC. Much better than that shitty poke. This one has Ky FUCKING CRUCIFY YOU WITH LIGHTNING. AkSys, why the fuck did you get rid of this? Then again, you got rid of Justice to make way for Dizzy, so.... Kliff: Demon Summoner Killer: Basically he cuts the earth so hard it summons a demon May: Dolphin Show: While it looks hella different, teh DESTROYED text is still May-altered to be kid friendly, just as it always is Potemkin: Terminus Operate: One big William Shatner punch. Brutal, that. Chipp: KAMI-SAMA. I think he slides past you, stabs you once and for some reason, it slices a Kabuki mask in half. Pretty cool, but its not NINJA SATANISM Bacon/Baiken: Proto-Garyo Tensei: Slightly different from the one you knwo and love. And why does it have to be so specific as to hwo we get Bacon? Testament: That Skull Thing that Arpa's Edited Iori has: After slamming you to teh ground, TEstament SKULLINATES YOU. Justice: X-Laser: Same as always. She grabs you, flies into space and SPLITS YOU INTO UNCOUNTABLE AMOUNTS OF ATOMS. I also showed off Gamma Ray just to show TV Tropes who REALLY used it first cos I like being a dick to them :3 I suggest you pick the old GG up now. Its great fun.
