The Janome Free Motion Couching Foot Set is for High Shank machines only. To determine if your machine is High or Low Shank, lower the presser foot and measure up to the thumb screw which attaches the foot holder to the machine. If it's approximately 1/2" it's Low Shank. If it's approximately 1" - 11/4" it's High Shank.
