This is the full length version of the eulogy I created for my mother, Joanne Bowman Shepherd, who left this world on Feb. 5, 2026. Starting at 6 minutes into it, the video tells what I find to be a very interesting story about something that happened in the final two weeks of my mom's life - an event which was related to our daily Bible reading. I describe how that event is intimately related to the research I've been doing about the end-times regarding the possible timing of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ and related events, and how the Bible says that He will return at the time of the resurrection of all our departed loved ones who believed in Jesus / God. I also mention my interpretation of some modern-day prophecies which speak of a very important and very positive event which will happen in the world later this year (or possibly next year). My heart is that people will realize that the time is short, and that everyone will begin to take seriously that we each (myself included) have a decision to make: To follow the teachings of God, or to suffer all the consequences that rejecting God in our lives entails. To that end, I quote an uplifting Billy Graham sermon that my mom heard in person in 1951 (which they will hopefully play in her memorial service). A much shorter version of my eulogy (that repeats the first 6 minutes of this longer eulogy) will be played at my mom's memorial service at 2pm Eastern time on March 22, 2026, which can be viewed at the Epworth UMC Concord NC YouTube channel. (FYI I didn't know how long this video would be when I started filming it. That's why I was talking as if it might be played during the memorial service.... But it ended up being way too long to play at my mom's service, as you can see.)
