Join me as I try out United’s brand new Polaris Suites—flying from San Francisco to Washington Dulles. Right away, this feels like a big step up. The seat is super private and comfortable, and even though the door wasn’t usable yet (not certified), it still feels like a proper suite. In bed mode it’s great overall, just a bit tight around the feet. The real standout here is the tech. The IFE is excellent, and the lighting—both at the seat and throughout the cabin—is seriously impressive. I also loved the wood finishes and overall color palette, it feels very modern and premium. The crew was lovely, and while the food was good, not amazing, I was pleasantly surprised by a hot snack before landing. Overall, a big leap forward for United—modern, comfortable, and a really nice way to fly domestically.
