Chinese Air Force Conducts Live Fire Drill

A Chinese air force division recently conducted live-fire combat drills by using fighter jets, jammer plans, land-to-air missiles and early warning radars to comprehensively test the troop's joint fighting and defence capabilities. Several fighter jets and jammer plans took off at 08:00 from the air base, and flied to the pre-selected airspace. At the same time, some new types of Chinese-made fighter jets and jammer plans from north and northeast China also took off as scheduled, and joined the air force formation. The jet flights of the air force not only took the responsibility of penetration and assault, but also provided electromagnetism shield for other fighter jets. During the practice, the assault formation used terrain masking as well as low altitude and high speed flight over the sea to dodge the attacks from the land-to-air missiles, before climbing up steeply to locate, identify and launching precision attacks on simulated targets.
