One way to my heart is nostalgia for sure because what do you mean both these songs sample songs I grew up listening to?! First 'Glamorous' by Fergie and then 'Beautiful girls' by Sean Kingston?! Yeah, that's one way to win me over! Both songs are surprisingly a lot chiller than I expected, especially for a song titled 'EXTRA' and for the MV of 'CLOSER' to look so disturbing. I really loved the more retro sound she went for in 'EXTRA', the whole mannequin concept with a broken heart was really well done, her ad libs on that track were gorgeous, not to mention her own visuals!!! God she's beautiful! And 'CLOSER' is her in her villain era almost, darker and more deadly, she suits this concept so well; I wouldn't have minded her going even darker actually, double down on the whole 'beautiful but psycho' or 'crazy in love'. The latter part of the MV most specifically was quite distracting because of the AI which, I don't think served much purpose here? But, like I've been saying recently, on a day-to-day basis, I listen to music more than I watch it anyway. Now the songs are short, but they do have personality, if that makes sense? Of course, I would have preferred if they were slightly longer but they also don't feel super empty either! The glitchy sound in 'CLOSER' is trippy as hell and it's giving my brain a crawling sensation whereas the sudden silence, mute moment in 'EXTRA' had such a perfect cinematic timing that left me confused for a good 5 seconds nsnsnsn and that was EXTRA!
