Additional info: There is NO long version of these 6 speed manuals despite what I stated above. The gearbox coming from the Biturbos are actually very very slightly shorter on the 4-5-6 gears but both do around 160ish with 3kish revs, which is actually plenty for these vans. Also they can reach 200+ with a proper remap with 4k rpm but let's be honest here, 200kph is not really recomended for a 2ton brick with a high center of gravity. The job itself is much more than 8 hrs, for me it took about 5 days and it is NOT a one man job, as putting back the gearbox and the subframe (because of their weight) heavily benefits from a second pair of hands, but in case you a strong family member around that should be fine. Gearbox codes: KUP, MKB, MQX, PAP, PAT, PAU, PAV, NTF T5 1.9 PD Carrying out this conversion to the 1.9 PD is very similar to the above however the rear engine mount requires modification to allow the driveshaft bearing to be mounted.
