WHAT HAPPENED!? This Poor 1.6L Ecoboost Has Been Through Hell!

Search my channel to see what I've torn down. Today I tear down a 1.6L Ecoboost from a 2013-2016 Ford Escape. Its also the same 1.6 Ecoboost found in 13-14 Fusion, some Ford Transits, and the Fiesta ST(may be some differences). This engine was upside down in the core area of a local salvage yard which did NOT do it any favors. Storage conditions aside, this engine was ROUGH and probably endured a terrible end of life as it seems maintenance wasn't done as often as it should've been, ultimately leading to this engine's demise. I've done several EcoBoost engines, 1.0, 2.0's, 2.7 and 3.5's and all of them have had different types of failure modes. Why am I doing this? My name is Eric and I own and run a full service auto salvage business in the Saint Louis Missouri area. Part of our model includes dismantling "Bad" engines to salvage good parts from them.
