Charlesworth, Coombes Edge and Broadbottom circular walk ¦ Peak District Walk

Join me for a walk of around eight miles in length, starting from the village of Charlesworth, between Glossop and Marple. I believe that this walk is actually right on the edge of the Peak District, and that strictly some of it falls outside the boundary, but we won't split hairs about that! We begin the walk by climbing up to the magnificent geological feature of Coombes Edge. After skirting along the edge, we then drop down through farmland and cross the A626 before continuing down through woodland via Woodseats Farm to Broadbottom. Crossing the River Etherow via the ancient bridge, we then climb back up to Charlesworth via Tom's Wood. A really enjoyable and interesting walk.
