This video is property of Train_PlaneHub 2160p 4K HD! Between my connections onto the Bletchley service at Bedford I had some time to spare so decided I'd do some filming at Bedford Station. Times are changing at Bedford; As it currently stands Bedford marks the end of the Thameslink network and therefore the end of the suburban electrification meaning anything heading further north is a diesel. This is soon to be a thing of the passed as electrification work is well underway as far north as Kettering and Corby which leaves a lot of questions as to who will be taking over the franchise for the Corby services. Will they become part of the commuter Thameslink network or will East Midlands (or their new franchise operator) continue to serve Corby with "Long distance" Intercity services. Only time will tell. As for this video! INCLUDES: East Midlands Trains HST's & Meridians, LNWR's new class 230's (ex. tube stock), Thameslink class 700's and GBRf 66707 passing on the down fast. Also added onto the end is a shot of the "Angel set" or the ex Grand Central set seen arriving and departing Kettering, filmed the same day. Thanks for watching!
