Dave Loggins, who died on July 10, 2024, was a legendary songwriter who had one of the best, most compelling voices I've ever worked with. He knew not only how to create magical lyric tapestries but also how to use phrasing, embellishments and melodic turns to deliver the impact of those messages. For decades, he was my mentor, collaborator and friend. This is an interview he gave me in 2021, in which he tells the stories of his amazing life, in his own way, in his own words.
