With the arrival of a new director, it was natural that Chesapeake Music would begin a new chapter. But meaningful change takes time. And over the past sixteen months, David Faleris has worked closely with his board of directors to shape and finalize a strategic plan that clearly defines the organization’s next steps. That work is now complete. In our Spy interview, Faleris explains that the plan focuses on three priorities: strengthening relationships with Chesapeake Music’s loyal 40-year base of patrons, expanding audiences within the region and beyond, and deepening the organization’s commitment to arts education across the Mid-Shore. At the center of that vision is performance. That commitment comes to life on March 1, when The Ebenezer Theater welcomes back the Abeo Quartet, Silver Prize winners at the 2022 Biennial Competition. Their return signals both the ensemble’s continued artistic growth and Chesapeake Music’s dedication to presenting exceptional emerging artists to Eastern Shore audiences.
