Boise State a Star in Idaho Shakespeare Festival's 'The Foreigner'

The Idaho Shakespeare Festival's final production of the season, "The Foreigner," will showcase a wide variety of Boise State University talent. More than a dozen Boise State faculty, alumni and students play a part in the outrageous comedy. The actual "Foreigner" of the play, Charlie, is performed by Boise State theatre arts professor Gordon Reinhart. Richard Klautsch, chair of the theatre arts department, plays the role of Reverend David Lee. Boise State theatre arts alum Justin Ness (class of 2000) plays the role of Owen Musser. Assistant stage managers Sarah Kelso (theatre arts, 2011) and Katie Valentine (current theatre arts major) also have cameo roles in the show. Matt Kolsky (current theatre arts major) is on the electrics crew and plays a cameo role. Amber Kelley Amoureux (Boise State theatre arts grad, 2011) is on the electrics crew. The voice and dialect coach for "The Foreigner" is theatre arts lecturer Ann Price. The show's lighting designer is theatre arts assistant professor Raquel Davis. Fran Maxwell (theatre arts graduate, 1999, and current assistant technical director for the theatre arts department) is props master. Bernie Cockey (theatre arts 2010) is props assistant. Gretchen Halle (theatre arts 2012) is working in wardrobe. Tony Hartshorn (current theatre arts major) is helping with electrics. A special preview of "The Foreigner" will be staged tonight with the production's formal opening Saturday evening, Sept. 7. It continues throughout the month.
