Testicular pain is a very common condition in men. It can be very frustrating because the underlying reason is rarely found. Many doctors are consulted and in the end, the patient ends up with a psychosomatic diagnosis. In many cases though, the pelvic floor is overlooked. Dr. med. Dr. phil. Stefan Buntrock, urologist from Göttingen, explains in this video on UroChannel why it is important to incorporate the pelvic floor into medical examinations. Pelvic floor overactivity is a very common condition. So called "referred pain" may lead to all sorts of pain and discomfort in the middle of the body. Typical signs and symptoms of pelvic floor issues you must know about are: lower back pain, a history of hemorrhoids, pressure in the perineal region, post micturition dribble, weak urinary stream, residual urine, urinary urgency, reduced rigidity with erections, a burning pain at or after ejaculation, daytime variations in pain, and posture-related pain. Here is the list of causes of testicular pain as promised in the video: Diabetic neuropathy epdidymal cyst spermatocele epdididymitis infectious causes like urinary tract infections due to STI Fournier’s gangrene Henoch-Schönlein purpura hydrocele inguinal hernia interstitial cystitis urolithiasis orchitis polyarteritis nodosa previous surgical interventions prostatitis testicular torsion torsion of the appendix testis testicular vasocongestion (aka blue balls) trauma tumor statin use varicocele post vasectomy pain syndrome HOMEPAGE: https://www.buntrock-urologie.de/ SOCIAL MEDIA: / urochannel CHECK OUT GOLFAKUTEN ON YOUTUBE FOR GOLF FITNESS AND MEDICAL TOPICS ON GOLF! / @golfakuten #testicles #pain #pelvic floor
