In the not so distant future, ruthless poachers are flying to San Francisco to deliver a black market baby ape, perhaps the last of its kind found in the wild, when the daring little simian breaks out of its cage and causes their chopper to crash in the California Redwoods. Lucky for the baby ape, acclaimed bionic scientist, Dr. Leo Remy and his twin sons are camping nearby and 12 year old Lukas Remy helps save Baby Kong from the poachers. Lukas convinces his dad to take the ‘little ape’ home with them, despite the protests of his brother Richard. As baby Kong begins growing at an alarming rate, so do tensions between the twins, until young Kong actually grows so big he destroys the Remy’s house boat. Swat and Police swarm in, prepared to destroy Kong. Lukas helps his ‘bro’ escape. Anticipating Kong’s shocking growth would cause major problems; Dr. Leo Remy built a new home and lab in the Redwoods. Lukas and Kong are thrilled, but young Richard is furious he has to leave the city and live with bugs in the wild. Things really heat up when Richard defies his father and accidentally sets the lab on fire.
