While speaking at the event, actor Shivakumar said that the producer is still living in a rented house, and requested Tamil Nadu government to help him buy his own house. Later, Superstar Rajinikanth took the stage at the event and said that he will buy a new house for Kalaignanam. He said, "I will not give the opportunity to Tamil Nadu government. Soon there will be a house for Kalaignanam. I will give the money in 10 days." Kalaignanam produced Bairavi (1978), which was the first solo film of Rajinikanth as a hero. Several times, the Petta star has stated that Bairavi is always special to him. Now, the latest rumour is that Rajinikanth has already bought a house worth Rs 1 crore for the producer. It is said that Bharathiraja was the one to finalise the property for the veteran producer. However, there is no official confirmation regarding the rumours. A few other reports state that Bharathiraja is still house hunting. On the work front, Rajinikanth is currently busy wrapping up Darbar, which slated to hit the screen on Pongal 2019. The actor is also awaiting the release of director AR Murugadoss's Darbar. Director Siruthai Siva is deeply involved in the film's pre-production for the past couple of months. Now, there are reports doing the rounds that the makers have approached yesteryear actress Meena to play a pivotal role opposite Rajinikanth in the film. Sources close to the team have confirmed Meena's inclusion but refrained from revealing more details about her role. It is reported that actresses Keerthy Suresh and Khushbu are in talks to play important roles in the flick.
