Finally finished. This is the last of Bonetail's Super hacks, and honestly it's more of what you expect at this point. Levels with long amounts of backtracking, very one way levels, annoying and hostile level designs that force you to walk over every inch of the level, and barely enough keys to even make it from level to level. I actually found myself close to running out of keys in so many levels despite getting like 12 keys in the previous level. I would imagine in a casual run, you would need monster potions to break down the stupidly large amounts of walls and doors in this hack. Pro tip: not every door you place needs to be closed! It comes off as if he was relying on the absurd amount of cabinets to pick up all the keys you need along with the bazookas, which is atrocious level design by the way, never leave the player in a position where they need to rely on cheap RNG to get past a level. This is still the best of the four though, because finally, Bonetail figured out the concept of allowing for multiple routes to approach things from, and some levels actually have a little more freedom to explore than to push me into one narrow corridor. But even still, after having made THREE hacks previously, he still built pretty much the exact same every time, every hack feels the same even if the levels are different. There was no improvement after three hacks. Even towards the end of this hack, every level still felt like the same blob of long levels with miles of backtracking. Even what I worked on of ZAMN Cinnamon shortly after finishing the original version of butter (before the current version) was much better than my older hacks, in comparison to this hack and its predecessors. Like, how do you not learn after this many hacks? Old ZAMN Butter was better than this, and I really do not like that hack. This is gonna sound harsh, but if you're not gonna improve after four hacks, then I'm glad that this is the last of Bonetail's hacks. What's the point of making more hacks if you're not gonna improve on anything from before. When every level is basically the same concept. Fucks sake, at least with Bread Toast Butter and Cinnamon, I had ideas for more levels, things that felt different, because there's only so much you can fit into 55 levels. And yet here we are, about 221 levels of the exact same crap over and over. That said, with this hack done, it means it's gonna feel a lot shorter to complete the remaining hacks. Funny how once upon a time I wasn't gonna TAS every hack since the super hacks after the first one were just as bad (arguably 2 was the worst), and yet here I am, finished with the fourth one. I remember someone saying that it was like, borderline elite difficulty, and in hindsight, idk what they mean, it really wasn't that bad, just bulky and wears you down through being obnoxiously long. Anyway, halloween hack by Izzy Glow is next, it's only 16 levels, should be fun.
