Ideal for weeknight dinners, lunchbox ideas, party platters, and Indo-Chinese food lovers, these recipes are easy, delicious, and restaurant-style. ✨ Show Name: Tarka 👩🍳 Host: Rida Aftab 📅 On-Air Date: 18 December 2025 📺 Channel: Masala TV A must-watch for fans of desi Chinese cuisine and quick comfort meals. 📌 RECIPE CARD Chinese Masala Rice Ingredients: • Boiled rice — ½ kg • Boneless chicken — 1 kg • Capsicum (bell pepper) — 1 cup • Carrot — 1 cup • Cabbage — 1 cup • Spring onions — 1 cup • Green chilies — 6 • Fresh coriander — 1 bunch • Onions — 2 • Tomatoes — 2 • Crushed red chili — 1 teaspoon • Salt — 1 teaspoon • Soya sauce — 2 tablespoons • Chili sauce — 2 tablespoons • Black pepper — 1 teaspoon • Ginger-garlic paste — 3 tablespoons • Yellow food color — a pinch • Cooking oil — ½ cup • Boiled eggs — 4 Method: First, heat the oil and lightly fry all the vegetables. Remove them and set aside. In the remaining oil, fry the onions until light golden. Add the chicken, cover, and cook until the chicken is tender. Once the chicken is cooked, add chopped tomatoes, ginger-garlic paste, crushed red chili, black pepper, salt, soy sauce, and the fried vegetables. Fry for 2 minutes. Now add the boiled rice and mix gently. Place the boiled eggs on top, add a pinch of yellow food color, cover, and keep on dum (low heat) for 10 minutes. Turn off the heat and serve hot. Sweet and Sour Chicken Balls Ingredients: • Chicken mince — ½ kg • Onion — 1 • Black pepper — 1 teaspoon • Salt — ½ teaspoon • Garlic cloves — 10 • Soya sauce — 2 tablespoons • Green chili — 1 • Oil — for frying For the Sauce: • Chicken stock — 1 cup • Tomato purée — 2 cups • Nigella seeds — ½ teaspoon • All spice powder — ½ teaspoon • Salt — ½ teaspoon • Crushed red chili — 1 teaspoon • Green chilies — 2 • Fresh coriander — 2 tablespoons • Oil — ½ cup Method: Combine the chicken mince with all the remaining ingredients listed for the chicken balls and grind finely in a chopper. Shape the mixture into small balls and deep-fry them in hot oil until golden. Remove and set aside. For the sauce, heat oil in a pan and add curry leaves and mustard seeds. Add the tomato purée, salt, crushed red chili, and ginger-garlic paste, and cook well until the oil separates. Pour in the stock and bring to a boil. Let it cook for 15 minutes. Add the fried chicken balls and cook for another 10 minutes. Add the sliced green chilies.
